Friends of Extension

Friends of Extension is an ad hoc committee of extension supporters that serves to raise the profile of extension and generate non-tax monies from the community to support extension programs over and above funding provided by state, USDA and county. Last year, the Friends contributed over $30,000 to the Cowley County Extension budget.

We think you will find the strongest level of community support in Cowley County for extension of any county in Kansas and possibly the United States.

Plans are currently underway for the 3rd Annual Fall for Extension special event. The dinner includes a raffle, silent and live auction with all proceeds to benefit Cowley County Extension. Join us on Saturday, November 18 at Baden Square Community Center, 700 Gary Street in Winfield for a fun evening!

Tables for 8 can be purchased in advance for $175; individual tickets are $25. (Tickets at the door may be sold at $30 if space permits).
